Cairo - Saba:
A delegation from the Arab Parliament, headed by Mohammed Al-Yamahi, will head to the Rafah border crossing tomorrow, Friday, for a field visit aimed at examining the catastrophic humanitarian conditions facing the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in light of the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression, the war of extermination, and the stifling blockade imposed on the Strip.
The Arab Parliament said in a statement issued on Thursday that the visit comes within the framework of the parliament's ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian cause and to assess, firsthand, the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe facing our people in Gaza, as a result of the prevention of the entry of humanitarian, medical, and food aid, and the ongoing violations committed by the occupation against innocent civilians.
The statement also indicated that the delegation will hold a series of meetings with relevant authorities and will review the efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt to facilitate the delivery of aid and the challenges it faces. It will also conduct a field visit to hospitals to visit the wounded and injured in the aggression and assess their needs.
The delegation will also submit a detailed report to the Arab Parliament, including recommendations and measures to be taken at the Arab and international levels, to intensify political and legal pressure to lift the blockade and halt the crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
The Arab Parliament stressed that this visit reflects its unwavering commitment to defending the Palestinian cause and continuing its efforts to shed light on the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, and to mobilize international support to stop the war of extermination and alleviate the suffering of our people.
