Gaza - Saba:
Baptist Hospital, south of Gaza City, announced the death of an infant due to malnutrition.
Medical sources within the hospital said in media statements Thursday evening that the child died of malnutrition and the famine in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The source stated that the deceased child was two-month-old Ahmed Bahaa Taleb, a resident of Gaza City.
The source explained that thousands of children are suffering from symptoms of malnutrition due to the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, its closure of all crossings, and its prevention of the entry of basic materials and humanitarian aid, including food, water, medicine, and even fuel, for nearly 100 days.
In a previous statement, Director of Medical Relief in southern Gaza Bassam Zaqout said that the Gaza Strip has become a place of death, with the famine rate reaching 100%.
Since the first hours of the devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, starvation, especially in northern Gaza, has been part of the crime of genocide, killing, siege, and destruction.
The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip had previously stated that the Israeli enemy's ban on the entry of food, medical supplies, and fuel since the beginning of March had resulted in the deaths of 326 people due to malnutrition and food and medicine shortages, and more than 300 miscarriages among pregnant women.
