OCCUPIED AL-QUDS June 11. 2024 (Saba) – Sirens on Tuesday sounded in the occupied Haifa city, north Palestine, for the first time since the beginning of the Zionist aggression on Gaza Strip.
Scenes showed large numbers of settlers fleeing towards shelters, amid reports that drones launched by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon had arrived in Haifa.
The Zionist army on Tuesday morning said its forces intercepted a suspicious air target towards Haifa without activating the sirens.
A series of sirens were also activated in a group of settlements in the Upper Galilee, the conflict line and the southern occupied Golan Heights.
In this context, the Lebanese resistance said that its air defenses confronted a Zionist warplane that violated Lebanon’s airspace and forced it to return, in a second step within three days.
The Islamic Resistance said in a statement that the air defense unit "responded, on Monday-Tuesday night, to an enemy Zionist aircraft that violated Lebanese airspace."
It pointed out that the defense unit "fired a surface-to-air missile at the plane, forcing it to retreat towards occupied Palestine and immediately leave Lebanese airspace."
The announcement of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon is an unprecedented development in its capabilities to confront and neutralize Zionist warplanes in the airspace of Lebanon, a major shift in the course of battles, and an evolution of the military capabilities of the resistance.
