SANA'A June 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Electricity and Energy Minister in the caretaker government, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, and the Hodeida Governor , Muhammad Qahim, inaugurated today, Tuesday, the operation of the third and fourth phases of Al-Hussein Solar Power Plant in the National Renewable Energy Project in Hodeida, with a capacity of 20 megawatts, with funding from the Hodeida province Support and Development Fund.
At the trial launch, Minister Al-Bukhaiti and Governor Qahim heard from the Executive Director of the Hodeida Province Support and Development Fund, Dr. Riyad Mater, an explanation about the efforts made to implement the third and fourth phases of the project after completing the connection process with the national electricity grid.
Electricity Minister praised the implementation of this strategic project in record time, with national expertise, and with maximum operational efficiency, stressing that the Al-Hussein station is a new practical step on the ground to benefit from solar energy in generating electricity.
For his part, Governor Qahim considered this inauguration a great gain and achievement that will be added to the record of the Yemenis in their record of victories in the face of aggression and siege.
He appreciated the support of the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the tireless efforts of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Finance, the Ministry , Electricity Corporation, and the Hodeida Support and Development Fund in completing this project in its various stages.
