IBB June 11. 2024 (Saba) - The branch of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects in Ibb province received on Tuesday from the implementing agencies three projects in the districts of al-Makhader, Baadan and Yarim.
The projects, worth 69 million and 480 thousand Y.R, funded by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance, included the rehabilitation and installation of solar-powered systems for the areas of Ras al-Sharaf water in al-Makhader district, Asfal Dalalal in Baadan district, and Ketab in Yarim district.
Director of the Authority's branch in the province Majid al-Shami explained the importance of implementing service projects in the field of water to alleviate the suffering of citizens, which was exacerbated by the repercussions of the aggression and blockade, including the high cost of diesel fuel with which these projects were operating.
He pointed out that the implementation of water projects in rural areas translates the Authority's plan and interim strategy 1444-1447 AH, in line with the plan and matrix of the national vision within the framework of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council.
Al-Shami emphasized that the Authority will spare no effort in seeking to cover the need in rural areas to deliver clean drinking water to citizens.
He urged the specialists and project departments to reduce the price of the water unit tariff in line with the Authority's mechanism and standards.
Al-Shami stated that the Authority's branch is constantly working on studying and assessing the conditions of rural areas and prioritizing the actual need for projects, praising the efforts of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in funding projects, which will have an impact on the residents of the beneficiary areas.
