Death toll of Palestinian journalists in Gaza rises to 150 amid ongoing aggression

GAZA June 10. 2024 (Saba) - The toll of Palestinian journalists martyred as a result of the relentless Zionist-American aggression against Gaza has climbed to 150, with the recent martyrdom of three journalists in fresh attacks.

As announced by the government media office in Gaza today, the loss of colleagues Abdullah Al-Jamal, Ahlam Izzat Al-Ajla, and Dina Abdullah Al-Batniji has added to the grim tally since the onset of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

The media office reiterated its repeated warnings about the deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists by the Zionist enemy army, aimed at obstructing the reporting of the atrocities committed in Gaza.

According to statistics from the Committee to Protect Journalists, which meticulously investigates incidents involving the killing, injury, and loss of journalists and media workers, this conflict marks the bloodiest period for journalists since the committee's inception in 1992.

In a chilling revelation, the International Center for Journalists disclosed last February that the Gaza conflict has witnessed the highest levels of violence against journalists in three decades.

Since October last year, the Zionist enemy army has persisted in its aggression against Gaza, with unwavering support from American and European allies. Aerial bombardments target hospital surroundings, buildings, towers, and civilian homes, shattering them over the heads of their occupants. Additionally, the blockade prevents the entry of vital necessities such as water, food, medicine, and fuel.

The ongoing Zionist-American onslaught on Gaza has exacted a heavy toll, with 37,124 martyrs and 84,712 others injured, according to United Nations figures. Additionally, approximately 1.7 million individuals from the Strip's population have been displaced as a result of the conflict.
