South Africa has qualified for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations for youth football (under 20 years) by defeating Nigeria 1-0 in the semi-final held in Egypt.

Tailon Christopher Smith scored the decisive goal for South Africa in the 69th minute.

South Africa, having also qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, will now await the winner of the other semi-final between Egypt and Morocco.

Nigeria will compete for third place against the loser of the Egypt-Morocco match.
