TULKARM May 17. 2024 (Saba) - A young Palestinian man was killed, and another man and a child were injured during clashes with Israeli forces following their raid on the towns of Bal'a and Anabta, eastern Tulkarm.
According to local sources reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces stormed the town of Bal'a, stationed in the western neighborhood and the town center, and raided several areas, leading to clashes.
During these confrontations, live ammunition was fired at residents, critically wounding 23-year-old Karim Ra'iq Abdullrauf Ameer.
He was taken to Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarm, where medical teams announced his death due to his injuries.
The sources added that Israeli forces shot another young man, leaving him bleeding on the ground and preventing medical teams from evacuating and treating him.
They also fired at citizens trying to reach him to provide aid, with no information on the nature of his injuries.
The sources continued that Israeli forces raided the home of the detainee Mohammad Talal Abu Yaseen in the western neighborhood of Bal'a, photographed the house, and interrogated its residents. Abu Yaseen has been detained since January.
In a related development, Israeli forces stormed the town of Anabta from its eastern entrance, leading to clashes where live ammunition was fired at residents, injuring a 16-year-old boy in the thigh. The boy was taken to the hospital by Palestinian Red Crescent Society medical teams.
Additionally, Israeli forces raided the Shweika suburb north of Tulkarm and stormed the home of the family of martyr Tamer Faqha, who was killed by Israeli forces on May 4th in the town of Deir al-Ghusun, deploying their vehicles around the house.
With the death of Ameer, the number of martyrs in Tulkarm Governorate has risen to four within 24 hours, following the deaths of Ayman Ahmad Mubarak (26 years old), Hossam Imad Dabbas (22 years old), and Mohammad Youssef Nasrallah (27 years old), all shot by Israeli forces early Thursday during a raid on Tulkarm city.
In the early hours of Friday, another citizen was injured by a rubber-coated metal bullet and another was detained during a raid by Israeli forces east of Nablus.
Security sources reported that several Israeli military vehicles raided the eastern part of Nablus, leading to clashes between the Old and New Askar refugee camps. During these clashes, Israeli forces fired live and rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades, resulting in a head injury to one of the citizens.
The sources added that Israeli soldiers raided a house in the Old Askar refugee camp, ransacked it, and arrested a young man named Amir al-Amir.
In Qalqilya, a young man was injured by Israeli forces' gunfire last night during a raid on the city.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces raided the city, stormed several neighborhoods, and fired directly at a young man riding a motorcycle, injuring him.
The sources added that Israeli forces obstructed the work of medical teams and destroyed the martyr Mahmoud Hilal memorial in the central Shimaa Square, and deployed snipers in the Kafr Saba neighborhood.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces shot a young man riding a motorcycle at the entrance to the Jalazone refugee camp, injuring him in the foot. His condition was described as moderate, and his motorcycle was seized.
The sources added that clashes erupted with Israeli forces at the entrance to the camp, during which Israeli forces fired live bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters at the youths.
