Enemy media: Zionist shipping companies received painful blow in Red Sea

Enemy media: Zionist shipping companies received painful blow in Red Sea
[Wed, 21 Feb 2024 16:54:13 +0300]

OCCUPIED QUDS February 21. 2024 (Saba) - A Zionist media report revealed today that Zionist shipping companies received a painful blow in the Red Sea, at the hands of Yemeni forces, especially those associated with the occupying entity.

The report said the Yemeni attacks pushed transport companies away from passing through Bab al-Mandab and diverting their routes, tripling their time to reach Zionist ports.

Khitam Salameh, from the Strategic Planning Department at the Haifa Port, confirmed the impact of these attacks on work at the port. "Of course it affected our work and I think it affected the whole region.

The ships will eventually arrive but they take longer than in the normal situation. For example, a week-long ship usually takes three weeks now."

"At the port we are trying to meet the most orders while reducing the number of ships coming to us. A big ship arrived to us today and we had been waiting for it for almost three weeks.

It was pointed out that the security situation prompted insurance companies to impose additional fees on containers, and the fees amounted to about 65 percent of the value of the ship, in line with the costs of the voyage and the duration of arrival, which doubled in addition to the risks of war.

Commenting on this situation, which doubled the work at the port, Salameh said: "Coordination... Shifts with equipment with ships coming to port. Communicate with shipping companies with which we conclude agreements. We try to fulfill orders.

The port operates 24 hours a day, meaning we work around the clock in line with this emergency.

This case requires us to work more and with a higher satisfactory energy for shipping companies.

For its part, the Zionist Tax Authority pointed out that it compensates ships that were damaged by the war, by 100%, but the continuation of the Zionist war on Gaza will keep the situation as it is in light of the Yemeni forces linking the safety of ships to ending the war.

Yemen's armed forces target Red Sea cargo ships owned and operated by Zionist companies that transport goods to and from Israel.
