Meteorology: Most provinces affected by cold air mass
[Sun, 10 Dec 2023 21:30:03 +0300]

SANA'A December 10. 2023 (Saba)-The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning reported that most mountainous provinces, deserts and inland plateaus are still affected by the cold air mass.

In its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center expected cold to very cold weather during the next 24 hours, in Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Amran, Sana'a, Sa'ada, Al-Dhale', and Ibb provinces, and it is not unlikely that frost will form during dawn and the early morning hours.

It is expected that the weather will be cool in the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadhramaut Plateau, Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Mahwet and Raymah provinces.

The center called on the elderly, the sick, children, and those working during the night and early morning to take the necessary precautions against the effects of cold and extremely cold weather, urging farmers, livestock herders, poultry and beekeepers to follow the instructions to protect them from the consequences of extreme cold.

Seafarers and fishermen in Socotra Archipelago, the south of the western coast, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab were warned of turbulent seas and high waves.
