RABAT November 29. 2023 (Saba) - Dozens of Moroccan academics and researchers have called for ending normalization with the Zionist enemy entity.
Moroccan academics said on Tuesday that the Zionist enemy's universities are an integral part of the colonial system.
In a statement, they affirmed their condemnation of the aggression launched by the Zionist enemy against the besieged Gaza Strip.
The statement explained that these claims are based on the fact that “Zionist universities play an essential role in developing Zionist military and security knowledge and technologies, and that they are an integral part of the colonial system.”
The statement continued the Zionist enemy's universities are involved in the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, noting that "since the signing of the normalization agreement between Morocco and the Zionist entity, memorandums of understanding and agreements have continued between research and university institutions, between the two sides."
On December 10, 2020, Morocco announced to resume its diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity after they were stopped in 2000, while popular bodies, parties and sectors expressed through many activities their rejection of normalization.
Morocco has witnessed a number of popular marches and demonstrations to emphasize support for the Palestinian people and to demand a halt to normalization with enemy.
