[24/November/2022]

SANA'A November 24. 2022 (Saba) - An official at the Public Telecommunications Corporation confirmed that the corporation is committed to the exclusive broadcasting rights of the State of Qatar, which is organizing the 2022 World Cup and FIFA.

The official stated in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the rumors and news reported by some websites about Etisalat’s readiness to broadcast or broadcast the 2022 World Cup matches for free to its subscribers inside Yemen are unfounded.

He pointed out that despite the availability of technical capabilities, Yemeni Telecom respects international laws and regulations that guarantee exclusive broadcasting rights for countries and federations that organize various sports tournaments regionally and internationally.

The official confirmed the keenness of Yemeni Telecom on broadcasting rights that are in force globally and not to violate such rights.
