SANA'A, June 26 (Saba) - Chairman Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Saturday, received a telephone from President Ibrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

President Al-Mashat thanked the support of Iran for the oppressed people of Yemen in international stages and conveying their voice to the world.

Al-Mashat also praised the firm position of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Palestinian issue.

He also called for the development of relations and cooperation with Iran.

For his part, President Ebrahim Raisi voiced Iran’s support for the establishment of peace in Yemen and removal of the economic blockade against the Arab country.

Raisi praised the epic resistance of the Yemeni people and said, "Emphasizing the need to preserve Yemen's territorial integrity and national sovereignty, the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the ceasefire that will lead to complete peace and the real lifting of the oppressive economic blockade against the Yemeni people.”
