SANAA, Dec. 13 (Saba) - The Yemen Petroleum Company announced on Wednesday a new reduction in the prices of the sale of gasoline and diesel, which will enter into force on Saturday, December 15.
The company said in a statement obtained by Saba it will be selling the 20-liter of gasoline for 7900 riyals at 395 riyals per liter, and set diesel price at 8900 riyals at 445 riyals per liter.
The statement referred to the efforts exerted by several unions, civil society organizations and state institutions, along with the oil company during the past two weeks, to organize vigils and marches in front of the UN Office in Sanaa to denounce the seizure of oil vessels and prevent their entry into the port of Hodeidah.
The statement pointed out that the company had agreed to ship seven ships loaded with oil at low stock prices in order to reduce the prices of oil derivatives, explaining that the coalition launched only two ships.
The company said in a statement, "Despite the recent high exchange rates and the continue holding of f a number of oil vessels by the US-backed saudi-led aggression coalition in order to charge additional costs on the real cost of oil derivatives, but the company has reviewed the cost of the two released shipments and reduce the price of sale of gasoline and diesel according to the costs available and commensurate with the current exchange rate ".
The company renewed its commitment in the event of continued entry of ships that were shipped at low exchange rates with the stability of the exchange rate, that it will review and reduce the prices of oil derivatives to the minimum extent possible and in a way to alleviate the suffering of citizens and create a comprehensive supply stability in all regions and provinces.
The company called on citizens to cooperate with them and to report any violation from any station on followed numbers of the Joint Operating Room (836552/01) or (836553/01).
