Yemen, Iran sign MoU in air transport field
[28/February/2015]

TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (Saba) – The Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA) of Yemen and Iran's Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) signed on Saturday in Tehran a memorandum of understanding in the field of air transport.

The MoU gives both Yemen Airways and Iranian Mahan Air companies the right to operate 14 flights a week between the two countries in each direction for each company, and will come into force from the date of signature.

The MoU was signed by acting head of the CAMA Mohammed Abdulqadir and deputy head of the CAO Kharid Kermani.

The CAMA's delegation held talks with the CAO's officials, during which they reviewed the joint cooperation between the two countries in the air transport field.

The talks also dealt with what can be offered to Yemen, especially in the areas of training civil aviation cadres, rehabilitation and operation of airports and maintenance of runways and navigational devices, as well as the other engineering works.
