A broad educational meeting was held on Sunday in Ibb Province, chaired by Governor Abdul Wahid Salah, to discuss the sector’s plan for commemorating the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday for the year 1447 AH.
The meeting, which included the Head of General Mobilization Abdul Fattah Ghallab, the head of the educational sector in the governorate Muhammad Al-Ghazali, sector leaders, and education directors of the districts, reviewed the necessary tasks to successfully carry out the events and activities for the Prophet’s birthday celebration.
Governor Salah emphasized the importance of commemorating this great occasion, celebrating it, and mobilizing all venues in a manner befitting the status of the noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family). He called for holding events in every village, neighborhood, and district as an expression of love , loyalty to the greatest teacher and leader known to humanity.
He considered celebrating this significant religious occasion a strong message to the enemies of Islam about the close bond linking Yemenis with the Prophet of Mercy. He urged all educators to actively contribute to the success of this commemoration through implementing programs, mobilizing people, and wide participation in central events, as well as at the district and school levels.
The governor pointed out that commemorating the Prophet’s birthday is a firm affirmation of adherence to the noble values embodied by the Prophet during his life, which form the solid foundation for national and social unity. He stressed that the success of these activities is a collective responsibility.
He praised the tangible achievements of the educational sector in organizing previous celebrations of the Prophet’s birthday and expressed hope for greater success this year.
For his part, the head of mobilization in the governorate explained that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is one of the most important religious occasions that highlight the greatness of the Prophet and his mission. He confirmed that the Prophet’s life represents a way of life for every Muslim to emulate. He called on educators to bear their responsibilities and trust in instilling love for the Prophet in students’ hearts and educating them to follow his example, considering the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday in houses, schools, and neighborhoods a religious and national duty that reinforces unity and instills the noble Islamic values in the hearts of generations.
Meanwhile, the head of the educational sector confirmed that the Prophet’s birthday is a great religious occasion from which Islamic values are inspired, aiming to build an aware generation, enhance faith identity, unify ranks, and elevate morals in imitation of the Greatest Prophet.
He stressed the importance of decorating schools, organizing school radio broadcasts, events, and evening gatherings, and implementing accompanying programs such as charitable activities, student marches, scouting events, and exhibitions that reflect the significance of this occasion in everyone’s hearts.
