Guatemala City - Saba:
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck off the southwestern coast of Guatemala on Sunday.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake struck about 100 kilometers southwest of Champerico, Guatemala, at a depth of 9 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of damage from the earthquake, which was felt in parts of southern Mexico.
Guatemala is located on a major fault zone that serves as the boundary between the North American and Caribbean tectonic plates.
