The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that its air defense forces shot down 26 drones launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces over Russian territory within a three-hour period.
In a statement, the ministry reported that “26 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Moscow time.”
According to the ministry, the interceptions by region were as follows: 11 drones over the Bryansk region, 10 over Kaluga, 3 over the Krasnodar Territory, 1 each over Ryazan and Belgorod
The statement added that, in response to the Ukrainian attacks, Russian forces are conducting strikes with high-precision weapons from air, sea, and ground platforms, as well as drones, targeting exclusively military sites and facilities of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex.
