Sana'a - Saba:
The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums has issued the eighth edition of its annual journal Azal, highlighting restoration work at major historical sites, including al-Janad Mosque, the Great Mosque in Old Sana’a, and Hisn Ghayman Mosque.
The issue also features reports from Dhafar and unpublished excavation findings from Dhamar, Ibb, Tihama, and Saada.
Authority President Abbad Aa-Hayal described Azal as a key platform to showcase Yemen’s heritage and called for collective efforts to protect antiquities from vandalism, looting, and smuggling.
He urged public support to preserve the nation’s historical sites and ensure the journal remains a vital reference for researchers.
