Gaza – Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Wednesday condemned the Israeli occupation’s decision to expel the Mufti of Al-Quds, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Hamas described the expulsion as an “arbitrary and oppressive act” by the occupation, falling within the broader context of Israel’s ongoing attempts to assert control over Al-Aqsa through continued restrictions and violations, including the arrest and expulsion of imams and preachers.
Hamas called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take urgent action against Israel’s Judaization policies, urging the international community to provide protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites, foremost among them Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The movement warned that Al-Aqsa is facing an aggressive campaign of Judaization at the hands of the Israeli occupation and extremist settlers.
