Ibb – Saba:
The University of Ibb concluded on Wednesday the sessions of the 5th International Scientific Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications, held in partnership with Yemen Research Foundation under the theme "Innovation for a Sustainable Future." The event brought together 550 researchers from 32 countries.
Speaking at the closing session, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatim al-Duais stressed the importance of turning the conference’s goals and recommendations into practical actions that contribute to national development and technological advancement.
Rector of Ibb University Dr. Nasr al-Hujaili described the research presented as a scientific asset that relevant institutions should utilize to enhance sectoral performance using the latest technologies.
The conference was supported by Yemen Research Foundation, the Public Telecommunication Corporation, Oman-Yemen Telecom, TeleYemen, and al-Manar Hospital.
Participants recommended upgrading digital infrastructure and promoting awareness through smart technologies. They emphasized incorporating smart technologies into curricula and supporting research in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, robotics, smart cities, and renewable energy.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony attended by university vice presidents, deans, and officials from education and health sectors.
