The Public Works Office in Taiz governorate on Tuesday carried out a field campaign to remove a number of violations in the city, as part of ongoing efforts to preserve the master plan, maintain the urban landscape, and prevent informal construction.
Director of the Public Works Office in the governorate Engineer Bakil Ali stated that the campaign resulted in the removal of nine violations at the site of the school in the Sha'b Al-Dhahab area – Sector 4, a fencing violation on 20th Street, as well as the demolition of a structure built over a culvert in Neighborhood Unit No. 611.
He noted that the campaign aims to stop any tampering with urban planning and to prevent disfigurement of Taiz’s cityscape. He stressed that the office will not tolerate any violations and will strictly enforce legal measures.
The Director of the Public Works Office warned against encroachments on the master plan or seizure of land allocated for public facilities, affirming that all violations will be removed without exception in accordance with the law, and that deterrent actions will be taken against offenders.
He praised the support of the local authority leadership in the governorate for the office’s efforts to organize the city and safeguard its infrastructure in line with citizens’ aspirations and the requirements of sustainable development.
