Ibb – Saba:
Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah chaired a meeting on Sunday to discuss ongoing preparations for commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for the year 1447 AH.
The meeting approved the formation of the main committee, headed by the governor, to organize the celebration's program, as well as subcommittees at the district level.
Officials emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet’s birth by promoting Islamic values, unity, and societal awareness, especially amid continued aggression and blockade against the Palestinian people.
Governor Salah highlighted the occasion as a powerful message of solidarity with Palestine and a reaffirmation of Yemenis' deep connection to the Prophet and Islamic identity. He called for active participation in the events and directed government offices to begin displaying celebratory decorations.
The governor also instructed the Health and Water Institutions to reduce service fees by 50% in honor of the occasion. The meeting reviewed preparations, responsibilities of each subcommittee, and mechanisms for daily reporting to the operations room.
Mobilization official Abdulfattah Ghallab outlined the committees' structures and tasks, noting that this year’s celebrations will feature a wide range of activities involving broad community participation, reflecting the people's strong devotion to the Prophet.
