Amjad Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGO Network in Gaza, said that 900,000 children suffer from varying degrees of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip.

Shawa confirmed in press statements on Monday evening that 90% of the Strip's population is suffering from severe hunger, while water supplies are virtually halted in the Gaza Strip.

Coinciding with the relentless airstrikes, artillery shelling, and forced evacuation orders, the enemy has closed all crossings with the Strip since March 2, 2025, preventing the entry of food and medical aid, causing widespread famine within the Strip.
