Ramallah - Saba:
Settlers escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank on Friday.
According to the Palestinian Safa News Agency, settlers on Friday morning released herds of sheep among residential homes in the Bedouin village of Shallal Al-Auja, north of Jericho.
Hassan Mleihat, General Coordinator of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, stated that this provocative act constitutes a blatant violation of the privacy and safety of residents in the community and falls within ongoing Israeli efforts to pressure Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley to forcibly leave.
He emphasized that such actions are part of continued attempts to seize land by imposing a new reality on the ground.
Mleihat called on official authorities and human rights organizations to take immediate action to protect the residents and prevent such violations from recurring.
In a related incident, settlers on Friday morning set up a settlement tent on the lands of Jabal Al-Salamah in the town of Raba, southeast of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The Al-Baidar Organization reported that a group of settlers erected the tent on lands belonging to the town of Raba as part of a strategy to establish a new settlement outpost in the area.
The organization warned that such developments pose serious threats to the future of Palestinian presence in rural and open areas.
It added that the silence of the international community encourages Israeli authorities and settlers to persist in violating international law and undermines prospects for a just and lasting peace in the region.
Additionally, settlers stormed the Bedouin community of Al-Malih in the northern Jordan Valley early Friday, arresting three Palestinian citizens and stealing a flock of sheep.
Hassan Mleihat reported that dozens of armed settlers, backed by the Israeli military, raided the home of citizen Tareq Humaid Ka'abneh in the Al-Malih community.
He confirmed that Israeli forces arrested Tareq Ka'abneh, Abdel Ka'abneh, and Ali Ka'abneh during the raid.
Women and children were reportedly left in a state of fear and isolation, unable to communicate with neighboring families.
Mleihat added that the settlers returned at dawn and seized a flock of around 200 sheep, which they slaughtered on site.
He further noted that Israeli forces prevented Palestinian activists and supporters from reaching the area, aiming to cover up the ongoing crime and prevent documentation or any form of protection for the targeted family.
