Moscow - Saba:
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday described the European Union's new sanctions package against Russia as a "tough European approach," asserting that Moscow views such unilateral restrictions as illegal.
Responding to questions about the EU's 18th round of sanctions, Peskov stated, "So far, we see a rather unified line against Russia from Europe."
He added that Russia has developed certain immunity and adapted to living under sanctions, calling them a double-edged sword that negatively impacts the countries imposing them.
Earlier in the day, the EU Council approved the 18th package, targeting 14 individuals and 41 legal entities.
Russia has repeatedly affirmed its ability to withstand sanctions pressure and suggested the West lacks the courage to acknowledge their ineffectiveness.
