Gaza - Saba:
Director of the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital in Gaza Suhaib al-Hums has revealed that the hospital in al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, is witnessing an influx of patients suffering from hunger and malnutrition.
According to the SND News Agency, al-Hums stated that on Friday evening, the hospital experienced an unprecedented flow of displaced people in al-Mawasi, with cases arriving in a state of extreme exhaustion and complete fatigue, in addition to symptoms of severe emaciation and acute malnutrition due to prolonged food scarcity.
Al-Hums emphasized that all arriving patients are in urgent need of food before medication.
He warned that hundreds of individuals whose bodies have completely wasted away are now at risk of death, having surpassed their physical limits of endurance.
Al-Hums called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to act immediately and urgently to stop the Palestinian bloodshed, fully open border crossings, supply essential food and medical provisions, and ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need.
Death threatens 650,000 children due to malnutrition, hunger, and food shortages, while 12,500 cancer patients are in urgent need of treatment, and 60,000 pregnant women are at high risk due to the lack of healthcare and nutrition.
The genocide against the Gaza Strip has continued for 650 days under the shadow of death, hunger, and extreme siege, while the occupying authorities persist in closing Gaza's crossings for the 139th consecutive day.
