Sana'a - Saba:
A total of 3,710 medical and health personnel holding bachelor's degrees and diplomas took the 2025 competency examination on Thursday to obtain professional practice licenses.
The exam was organized by the Medical Council at the September 21 University for Medical and Applied Sciences.
Dr. Mujahid Ma'sar, Chairman of the Medical Council, stated during his inspection of the exams that 1,800 applicants with bachelor's degrees from various medical and health specialties took the test, while 1,910 diploma holders participated.
He emphasized that obtaining medical practice licenses is a necessary measure to prevent errors or deficiencies in the output of medical and health universities and institutes. At the same time, it serves as proof of the medical staff's competence and ability to practice their profession efficiently.
Dr. Ma'sar noted that the Medical Council is the official body authorized to grant professional practice licenses to medical personnel. This follows a thorough review of documents, the preparation of specialized exam materials, and the administration of tests for new graduates from both public and private universities and institutes, as well as license renewals.
The exam was attended by the Secretary-General of the Medical Council, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Hamadi, the Assistant Secretary, Dr. Amin Al-Junaid, and the Vice Presidents of September 21 University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muti’ Abu Areesh, Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Saleem Al-Rayashi, and Student Affairs, Dr. Jameel Mujalli.
