Sana’a - Saba:

The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast very strong winds that will cause rough seas, along with thunderstorms in parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, strong to very strong winds are expected to affect the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the southern and eastern coasts.

Thunderstorms of varying intensity are also expected in parts of Hadramout, Shabwah, the highlands of Abyan and Lahj, as well as Taiz and Ibb.

Scattered rains, possibly accompanied by thunder at times, are likely in limited areas of Dhale'a, Raymah, the Tihama plain, and the western parts of Dhamar, Sana’a, Amran, and Saada.

Yesterday, rains of varying intensity fell on parts of Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwah, Abyan, Lahj, Dhale'a, Taiz, and Dhamar.

The center warned sea-goers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.

It also warned residents in areas expected to receive rainfall to beware of thunderstorms and avoid being in or crossing flood channels during and after rainfall.
