Sana’a - Saba:
Al-Raheda Customs Center in Taiz governorate, in cooperation with the Anti-Smuggling Unit, seized on Thursday a quantity of smuggled medicines that were being transported on the backs of porters.
Director of the Customs Center Mohammed al-Jabri said the seized items included 2,426 strips and packets of smuggled pharmaceuticals, in addition to 1,080 boxes of therapeutic drugs.
He attributed the successful operation to ongoing coordination between the Customs Authority and various security and military bodies.
For his part, Center’s Deputy Director for Enforcement Affairs Badr Fahd al-Muadhin affirmed that the Customs Center operates with high efficiency and in full cooperation with all relevant security agencies in the governorate, as part of efforts to strengthen anti-smuggling measures across the region.
