Sana'a - Saba:
The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research held a commemorative event on Wednesday, marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid (peace be upon him), under the slogan “Insight and Struggle.”
The event was attended by Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan al-Sa'adi and Deputy Minister Dr. Hatim al-Duaiss, who emphasized the importance of reviving the memory of Imam Zaid bin Ali (peace be upon them), and drawing lessons from his revolution, bravery, and unwavering stand for truth and justice.
“Imam Zaid grew up in a devout household, nurtured in faith, piety, virtues, and noble values. He was known for his fear of God, deep connection with the Holy Qur’an, worship, asceticism, eloquence, courage, and jurisprudence,” Dr. Al-Duaiss said.
He also highlighted the deep-rooted bond between Yemenis and the family of the Prophet (peace be upon them), stressing the need to embody the legacy of Imam Zaid in resisting the tyrants of today—namely the U.S. and Israel—and in supporting the oppressed in Gaza.
The event was also attended by the Ministry’s Undersecretaries for Basic Education, Hadi Ammar, and Secondary Education, Dr. Zaid Al-Hadhour, along with other senior officials from the Ministry and affiliated institutions.
Yahya Abu Awadah, a member of the Executive Office of Ansar Allah, stated that the crises the Muslim nation has suffered over the past 50 years following the Prophet’s (PBUH) passing stem from the infiltration of Jews, hypocrites, and former enemies into the ranks of the nation, and the neglect of the Prophet’s family.
He stressed the importance of following Imam Zaid’s principles, courage, and resistance against tyranny and arrogance wherever it exists, describing the oppression faced by the Yemeni people as a continuation of the injustice suffered by the Prophet’s family at the hands of global tyrants such as the U.S. and Israel.
The event concluded with a projector presentation titled “Ally of the Qur’an and the Strength and Impact of the Yemeni People's Stance in Support of Gaza”, in the presence of ministry department directors and employees.
