Ramallah - SABA:
Three Palestinian citizens were injured Friday during renewed clashes with settlers in the town of Sinjil north of Ramallah.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted Sinjil Mayor Moataz Tawafsha stating that three citizens were injured while residents of Sinjil and Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya towns confronted a new attack launched by dozens of settlers Friday evening in the Jabal Al-Batin area to the south.
The Red Crescent Society reported its teams treated two injuries from settler assaults in Sinjil town - one a 55-year-old man and the other a 30-year-old youth.
Tawafsha added that residents managed to free a young man whom settlers had attempted to kidnap after assaulting him.
Earlier, settlers had attacked Sinjil town from an outpost they established at the Khirbet Al-Tal archaeological site adjacent to the Al-Batin area.
The attack included assaults on several vehicles by smashing their windows and slashing tires - one belonging to the Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission and another to a foreign media institution.
In related context, residents of Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya and Sinjil towns along with the Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission succeeded in removing a recently-established pastoral settlement outpost in the area's lands.
Sources in the Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission stated that residents and the commission managed to burn and demolish the pastoral outpost that settlers had established west of the town
