Occupied Quds - Saba:
Tens of thousands of worshippers performed Friday prayers at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the Israeli occupation forces imposing a siege on Quds, the Old City, and the mosque, preventing dozens of young men from reaching it.
The Islamic Waqf Department in Quds stated that 40,000 worshippers attended Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed the absentee prayer for the souls of the martyrs in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The Palestinian news agency "Safa" reported that Israeli forces set up checkpoints around the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, stopping worshippers heading to the mosque at the Lions' Gate in occupied Quds.
The agency added that the occupation forces prevented a number of young men from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque after detaining them, checking their IDs, and searching some of them.
The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Abu Sneina, declared: "Our land is blessed, and its people are noble. Our children are men, and our men are heroes. Our elders are righteous, their virtues evident and their glory manifest. God tested them and found them grateful, tried them and found them patient, so He joined them with the righteous and raised them to the ranks of the virtuous."
