Nine people were killed and 33 others injured Tuesday morning in an Israeli attack targeting four residential units in Astana Ashrafieh in northern Iran. The Iranian Mehr News Agency quoted Ali Bagheri, Gilan's deputy governor for political, security, and social affairs, as saying, "This attack has so far resulted in the martyrdom of nine people and the injury of 33 others."
He added, giving further details, "In this attack that occurred this morning, four residential units were completely destroyed, and a large number of surrounding houses were also damaged by these explosions."
He pointed out that a number of citizens were killed and several others were injured in this terrorist attack, saying, "So far, the number of martyrs in this terrorist incident has reached nine people."
He also indicated that a number of people were injured in this incident, totaling 33. He said that five of them were taken to the hospital, while 28 received treatment in clinic.
According to Bagheri, 16 of the wounded and martyrs in the incident were women and children.
