The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the arrest of six spies in Hamadan Province, western Iran.
The Iranian Mehr News Agency quoted the IRGC's deputy public relations officer in Hamadan Province on Tuesday as saying, "The identities of six traitors who were seeking to carry out Mossad's objectives were identified and arrested in the cities of Razan, Nahavand, and Hamadan."
He added, "Through their targeted cyber activity and in contact with other agents, these unscrupulous mercenaries attempted to incite public unrest and distort and destroy the image of the Iranian regime. However, accurate and timely intelligence thwarted their efforts."
