Oslo - Saba:
French President Emmanuel Macron said that the American strikes that targeted Iranian nuclear sites at dawn last Sunday are illegal and is a violation of international law, despite his country's agreement with Washington on the need to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon.
During a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Unanas Jar Store, in the capital, Oslo, on the eve of NATO (NATO), Maron confirmed that there is no "legal framework" regarding American strikes on Iranian nuclear installations, noting that any change of the regime in Tehran should be the result of the will of the people, not bombs, according to the "France Press" agency.
The French President redeemed any attempt to change the rule in Iran through a military operation, explaining: "I believe in the sovereignty of regional peoples and safety ... so I do not think that we can replace a people to change their leaders."
The Norwegian Prime Minister agreed to him, saying: "International law provides for clear principles on the use of force. The Security Council can be authorized or that the matter is self -defense. Therefore, I believe that this issue (American strikes) does not fall within international law."
Macron considered that the "Israeli" strike against Iwin Prison in Tehran yesterday, Monday, "has nothing to do with the officially stated targets" represented in the destruction of the Iranian nuclear program, and that it "endangered the lives of Iranian and foreign civilians at risk", including two French citizens.
