A young Palestinian man and woman were injured on Thursday as a result of an assault by Israeli occupation forces during their ongoing raid of the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, now entering its second day.
According to Wafa News Agency, Director of Emergency and Ambulance Services at the Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus, Ameed Ahmad, reported that ambulance crews treated a 22-year-old woman with a hand injury, and a young man who suffered bruises after being physically assaulted by Israeli soldiers during the raid.
Israeli Forces Halt Work on Palestinian Agricultural Land in Bethlehem
In a related development, Israeli occupation authorities issued a stop-work order on Thursday for a 10-dunam plot of agricultural land in Wadi al-Nis village, south of Bethlehem.
Saleem Abu Hamad, head of the village council, said Israeli forces stormed the area and verbally ordered local resident Saeed Fawzi Mahmoud Hamad to stop construction on retaining walls being built on his land. Troops also confiscated a digger (excavator) belonging to Abdullah Yousef Ahmad Hamad, who was working on the site intended for agricultural use.
Israeli Troops Confiscate Concrete Pump and Target Civilians in Bethlehem
Elsewhere, a security source reported that Israeli forces raided the area surrounding the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque at the northern entrance to Bethlehem, where they seized a concrete pump that was in use.
The source also noted that Israeli police were deployed near Caritas Hospital, where they issued fines to Palestinian civilians in the area.
