Tulkarm – Saba:
Israeli enemy forces continued their escalating aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp on Thursday for the 144th consecutive day, and for the 131st day in the Nur Shams camp, with house demolitions continuing.
The official Palestinian News Agency reported that enemy bulldozers continued to demolish more residential buildings in Tulkarm camp for the 14th consecutive day, targeting the neighborhoods of Balawneh, al-Akasha, al-Nadi, al-Sawalmeh, and their surroundings.
It reported that enemy forces brought a heavy D10 bulldozer to Nur Shams camp on Thursday, which has witnessed continuous demolitions of residential buildings over the past weeks, resulting in the demolition of more than 50 buildings, under the pretext of clearing roads and changing the geographical features of the two camps.
This comes as part of the enemy's plan to demolish 106 buildings in both Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. These include 58 buildings in Tulkarm camp alone, comprising more than 250 homes and dozens of commercial establishments, and 48 buildings in Nur Shams, under the pretext of opening roads and changing the geographical features of the two camps.
Enemy forces continued to impose a tight siege on Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps and their surroundings. Infantry units and vehicles were deployed in alleys, neighborhoods, and entrances, preventing residents from reaching their homes to inspect them or retrieve their belongings, and opened direct fire on anyone who attempted to approach.
In a related development, Israeli enemy forces arrested the head of the Engineers Syndicate in Tulkarm, Khalil Ismail Atir, after raiding his home in the town of Far'un, south of the governorate.
The city is witnessing intense activity by enemy vehicles around the clock, particularly in the central market, on the street near the Martyr Thabet Thabet Government Hospital, Nablus Street, and the northern neighborhood. These vehicles deliberately obstruct the movement of citizens and vehicles, provocatively sounding their horns and driving against traffic, endangering the lives of civilians.
This escalation is accompanied by increased military measures at the checkpoints surrounding Tulkarm. The enemy has set up surprise checkpoints around Jabara Bridge gate at the southern entrance to the city and Anab military checkpoint to the east.
Vehicles are stopped and searched, passengers are subjected to searches and interrogations, traffic is deliberately obstructed, and in many cases, traffic is prevented from passing.
