The public relations department of the Revolutionary Guard announced on Thursday that a fifth drone belonging to the Zionist entity had been shot down in the skies over the city of Tabriz, north-western Iran.
In a statement, it said, ‘The air defence network, in a successful operation, detected an enemy Israeli drone that entered the airspace of Tabriz, and it was immediately dealt with and shot down with high precision.’
The statement added that Iranian air defences have managed to shoot down dozens of drones and small aircraft in recent days, in addition to destroying an Israeli F-35 fighter jet in the skies over Azerbaijan province.
Public relations confirmed that ‘the skies over eastern Azerbaijan are under complete control,’ noting ‘the full readiness of the armed forces, especially the air defence network, to counter any potential air threat.’
