Bayda - Saba:

The Economy, Industry, and Investment Office in Bayda governorate on Wednesday announced the destruction of five tons of expired food products. The confiscated items were disposed of following a recent monitoring and inspection campaign in the region.

Ahmed al-Tahiri, Director of the Economic Office in Al Bayda, stated that the expired foodstuffs were seized during ongoing market surveillance efforts. He confirmed that the destruction process was carried out in accordance with established procedures and in the presence of representatives from relevant authorities.

Al-Tahiri emphasized the office's commitment to continuing inspection campaigns across the governorate's center and districts. He also called on citizens to actively cooperate with inspection teams by reporting any instances of price manipulation or the sale of expired goods, underscoring the importance of public participation in ensuring consumer safety.
