Political and security deputy of Ilam province in Iran Tajeddin Salehian announced on Monday that Iranian border guards in the province had destroyed nine drones belonging to the Zionist enemy.
Salehian said in a statement to the media "In Ilam Province, thanks to the full readiness of the air defense, an advanced drone that had crossed our country's borders was targeted in Dasht-e Abbas and shot down," according to the Iranian Mehr News Agency.
He added "According to reports from the border guards stationed in the province, eight other drones were shot down by security forces."
