Sana'a – Saba:

The Youth and Sports Office and the Youth Unit of the Mobilization Forces in Sana'a governorate on Wednesday launched activities to commemorate the Day of al-Wilayah 1446 AH with a sports event, part of a sports league for the districts of Sanhan and New Sana'a.

Deputy Governor Talib Dahan emphasized that the annual commemoration embodies Muslims' connection to divine directives regarding the guardianship of the Prophet's family, urging its importance be instilled in future generations.

Abdulmohsen al-Sharif, Director of the Youth and Sports Office, detailed activities including football, a marathon, and volleyball, aimed at developing youth capabilities and protecting them from false cultures.

The 15-day football tournament features 12 teams; in the opening match, al-Rasoul al-Adham (Sanhan) defeated al-Aqsa (New Sana'a) 3-2.
