Commemoration activities for the Day of al-Wilayah officially launched on Thursday in Bayt al-Faqih district in Hodeida governorate, under the slogan "Whoever I am his master, then this Ali is his master."
At the launch event, speakers emphasized the occasion's importance in strengthening faith-based loyalty and recalling the virtues of Imam Ali, seen as the true extension of Prophet Muhammad's message, ensuring the nation's adherence to truth.
The speakers highlighted the significance of the principle of al-Wilayah, declared by the Prophet at Ghadir Khumm, asserting that allegiance to Imam Ali provides the nation immunity from "hegemony and subservience to Jews and Christians.
They linked the nation's current conspiracies and intellectual invasion to the absence of the true concept of guardianship.
The speakers concluded that guardianship is a source of national pride and independent decision-making, and that following Imam Ali's path leads to victory and dignity. The event saw attendance from executive officials, educators, social figures, and scholars.
