Gaza – Saba:
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) on Sunday mourned the deaths of Asaad Abu Sharia, Secretary-General of the Mujahideen Movement, his brother Ahmed Abu Sharia, and Mahmoud Kahil (Abu al-Mu'tasim), another leader within the movement.
All three were reportedly martyred in two separate assassinations carried out by the Occupation in the Gaza Strip, which also claimed the lives of numerous family members.
In a statement, the PFLP described Commander Asaad Abu Sharia as "one of the most prominent symbols of the resistance in the Gaza Strip," highlighting his "clear mark on the path of confrontation with the occupation over more than 25 years of struggle."
The statement noted that he had faced repeated assassination attempts and continued his resistance work with steadfastness, making significant sacrifices, including the "martyrdom of his wife, children, and a large number of his family members."
The PFLP also paid tribute to Commander Mahmoud Kahil, a member of Mujahideen Movement's Gaza Field Command, stating he was "martyred in a cowardly assassination that targeted him and his family, after a long career in the ranks of the resistance and confrontation."
