Occupation forces deliver 8 demolition, stop-work notices to Palestinian homes in Salfit

Salfit – Saba:

Israeli occupation enemy forces on Sunday delivered 8 demolition and stop-work notices to homes and barns in the town of Bruqin, west of Salfit, in the northern occupied West Bank.

Bruqin Mayor Faed Sabra stated in a press statement carried by Quds Press that "the notices affected 6 inhabited homes, consisting of two floors and comprising 12 residential apartments."

He explained that one of the homes that received the demolition notice is an old house dating back decades.

He indicated that the homes are owned by the Palestinians: Bassam Hashem Sabra, Salam Imad Bakr, Alaa Fayez Abdul Rahman, Hakam Ismail Abdul Rahman, Hikmat Ismail Abdul Rahman, and Hakim Ismail Abdul Rahman. Two stop-work notices were also issued for two agricultural barns.

Sabra stated that "the town of Bruqin is being subjected to a fierce settlement campaign led by the occupation army, aimed at seizing and leveling lands, in addition to distributing demolition notices to residential buildings."

Last May, the occupation authorities distributed 48 demolition notices to Palestinian structures in the West Bank.

In parallel with the spread of settlement activity, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of approximately 1,000 Palestinians, the injury of 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 17,000, according to Palestinian data.

This coincides with the Israeli enemy army, with American and European support, committing crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. These crimes have resulted in the martyrdom of 54,880 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 126,227 others. To date, this is an incomplete toll, with thousands of victims still buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
