Gaza – Saba:
At least 31 Palestinian civilians have been martyred and others injured since dawn Sunday, in a series of Israeli enemy airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting various areas across the Gaza Strip. The attacks were concentrated in Rafah, Gaza City, Khan Yunis, and Jabalia, according to medical sources.
The Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, reported a grim incident in Rafah, where the death toll rose to 13 after Israeli forces allegedly fired live ammunition at a group of citizens near an aid center in the southern Gaza city.
In Khan Yunis, four civilians sustained injuries from an Israeli drone strike that targeted a group of citizens in the northern city of Asdaa. The body of Ghadeer Raed Shaaban Baraka was also recovered from under rubble in Bani Suhaila, east of the city, following a bombing on her home.
Gaza City witnessed the death of two civilians due to shelling near the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, which also caused damage to surrounding health facilities. In the northern Gaza Strip, two more civilians were killed in an Israeli shelling targeting a group of people in the Jabalia al-Balad area. Additionally, Wafa reported that the Israeli army destroyed al-Naqab and al-Rafi'i schools in Jabalia, resulting in widespread damage to the infrastructure.
These latest casualties contribute to the continuously rising death toll in the Gaza Strip. The Gaza Ministry of Health reports that the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, has reached 54,880, with 126,227 injured. The Ministry emphasizes that these figures remain preliminary, as thousands of victims are still believed to be trapped under rubble and on the roads, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews.
