Makkah – Saba:
The Grand Mosque witnessed a heavy traffic flow on Sunday, exceeding its operational capacity of 107,000 pilgrims per hour. This was as crowds of pilgrims in a hurry flocked to the mosque to perform the Farewell Tawaf and depart Makkah after completing the Hajj rituals.
This comes after pilgrims in a hurry performed the stoning of the Jamarat ritual in Mina during the second day of Tashreeq and the third day of Eid al-Adha (12 Dhu al-Hijjah), according to Anadolu Agency.
Following the stoning of al-Jamarat, pilgrims perform the Farewell Tawaf around the Kaaba. Some of them then travel to Madinah, but they must leave the Holy Site before sunset.
Pilgrims spend the three days of Tashreeq (11, 12, and 13 Dhu al-Hijjah) in Mina. They throw seven pebbles at each of al-Jamarat (the smallest, then the middle, and finally the largest) with seven pebbles, while saying "Allahu Akbar" (God is Great) and supplicating after the smallest and middle Jamarat, facing the qibla with their hands raised.
If a pilgrim rushes after throwing al-Jamarat on the first and second days of Tashreeq, they are permitted to make their first departure and leave Mina before sunset on the second day (Sunday). Otherwise, they must stay until the third day of Tashreeq (Monday) to throw the three al-Jamarat again, then head to Mecca to perform the Farewell Tawaf.
