Paris – Saba:
French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Thursday that Paris would decide in the coming days whether to toughen its stance and take concrete measures against Israel.
In a press statement, Macron said, "Negotiations are ongoing, and we will decide in the next few days whether we need to strengthen our positions and take concrete steps toward Israel," as reported by the Sana News Agency.
Macron's remarks come amid his calls for the recognition of a Palestinian state. The French president emphasized the need for European countries to adopt firmer positions toward Israel and urged recognition of Palestinian statehood.
With American and European support, the Israeli occupation army has been committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. These atrocities have so far resulted in the martyrdom of 54,677 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and left 125,530 others wounded—though these figures remain non-final, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or in streets inaccessible to rescue teams.
