Ten Palestinians were injured on Wednesday evening during a large-scale attack by Israeli settlers on the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah.
According to the official Palestinian news agency, dozens of settlers stormed the town, setting fire to three homes, “Azbat Abu Shahada” near the western entrance, several vehicles, and animal pens for horses and sheep.
The settlers also besieged residents inside their homes, prevented young men, ambulances, and firetrucks from accessing the area, and pelted passing Palestinian vehicles on the main road with stones.
Medical sources reported that 10 individuals were injured, with two hospitalized and the remaining treated at a local clinic in the town.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its crews handled two injuries caused by physical assaults during the settler rampage and transported them to hospital, while five other injuries were treated at the town’s medical center.
Settlers from an illegal outpost built on lands belonging to Deir Dibwan and neighboring Burqa also attacked homes and properties in the nearby village of Beitin, attempting to set additional homes ablaze.
The report added that Israeli occupation forces, providing cover for the settlers, sealed off the town’s entrance, barring residents from entering or leaving.
This attack is part of an escalating wave of settler violence in the occupied West Bank, often carried out under the protection of Israeli forces.
