Gaza - Saba:
Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir al-Barash, revealed on Wednesday that only 13 hospitals are operating at minimal capacity, without electricity or water sources, out of 38 hospitals operating in the Gaza Strip before the aggression.
Al-Barash said in press statements: "Out of 103 primary healthcare centers, the occupation destroyed 27."
He added, "The enemy destroyed the infrastructure, bombed residential complexes, and killed entire families." He explained that the enemy committed 13,500 massacres against the people of Gaza.
Dr. Al-Barsh continued, "75% of the hospital's bed capacity has been lost due to enemy attacks.'
Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, confirmed on Wednesday that we are completely unable to provide blood units for the wounded and sick. Young men and women come to us to donate blood, only to discover that they themselves need blood transfusions due to severe malnutrition.
Abu Salmiya said, "We are losing a large number of wounded people every day due to the lack of blood units, amid a continuous and massive influx of casualties every minute."
He added, "We are asking nothing from the world except for the immediate delivery of blood units to the Gaza Strip... now, not tomorrow."
